Pantry Pizzas

Cooler and pantry clean up time! What better way to use up food than through the ever dependable pizza! I thought it was also a perfect opportunity to practice making pizza dough.

I gathered up ingredients, all perfectly suitable for 2 kinds of pie.

Pantry invasion gained me some cold cuts, good oil, lots of herbs and lots of tomatoes.

The pizza dough was as easy as ...pie (heheh), Water, yeast, AP flour, olive oil, salt. 1 1/2hour proof time.

And the result was a really nice product! the crust was not too thick and not too thin, crispy but also "bread-y" We had two types of pies: pesto, sun dried tomato, basil and tomato sauce, tomato slices, salami, turkey-bacon, and feta cheese .

With a side of green salad, figs, and cherry tomatoes and balsamic vinaigrette, it was a nice final meal after a nice warm California day!
